April Meeting Notes by Maria Pergolino
Summary of April Philadelphia Salesforce.com User Group Meeting:
The meeting began early with a presentation by Steven Woods who discussed Digital Body Language and Salesforce.com: Deciphering Customer Intentions through CRM and Marketing Automation. Many details about the topics he discussed can be found through the links below:
· Steve’s Book: Digital Body Language
· Steve’s Digital Body Language Blog
A Salesforce.com product manager discussed the benefits of the improved AppExchange. The AppExchange currently features almost 800 different apps ranging from over 312 free apps to very robust enterprise applications. If apps on the exchange are intimidating to you, I suggest trying a free app like Drivenable’s Draggin’ Role. This way you can become comfortable with installing apps while benefitting from a popular, useful and easy to use tool.
This was followed by a presentation by Jesse Middleton of CRM Manager about using Salesforce with Google Apps. This demo showed how easy it is for companies to integrate Google Apps into Salesforce, and some of the many benefits of the integration.
The final presenter was me, Maria Pergolino, and I presented on some tips and tricks for Salesforce.com users. In this I discussed how I keep up to date on news about Salesforce.com and related products, how to become involved in usability testing, explained the Service Cloud, and discussed admin certification and premier training. My slides can be found on Slideshare.
Guy closed out another great meeting buy talking about the June event at Dave & Busters. Mark your calendars, as this event will be held on June 25th. Details can be found on the Philadelphia Salesforce.com User Group Blog.

Pre-Holiday Party / Event Follow UP
WOW What an event!
As a follower of this thread you know that we had a vendor sponsor event on November 20. We had a total of seven vendors particapate. The idea was to have a way for the vendors to directly interact with the users, users learn a bit from the vendors, and network amongest ourselves. Mission accomplished
75 users and over 100 people had a chance to learn network and celebrate.
I am told one vendor had a sale at the event
To get a flavor of what occured here is Alteva's presentation on You Tube
Here are some snaps of the networking part of the evening
All in all a sucessfull evening and look forward to trying it again
